Waitlist privacy

Your email, your choice

Joining the Model Roll waitlist requests launch news and product updates. The separate, optional Rohan Builds newsletter shares builder tips, useful tools, subscriber discounts, new projects and YouTube videos from Rohan, a solo builder making useful software at fair prices. It starts unchecked. Joining does not sign you up for ClipShip or any other product.

What we use

We use your email address, your selected subscriptions and confirmation records to send the emails you requested and remember your preferences. We also keep limited signup and delivery status to prevent duplicate messages, handle failures and respect unsubscribes.

After confirmation, you may optionally tell us what you are building, the capability and platforms you need, your timing, what is blocking you, and whether you would test an early build. We use these answers to prioritize Model Roll. They are kept for up to 12 months. Do not include passwords, keys, customer data, private code, or other confidential information.

Links used for a Model Roll campaign may include a short campaign reference. We keep an aggregate count of landing visits and associate that reference with a confirmed signup so we can understand which posts are useful. This measurement uses no advertising tracker, cookie, persistent browser storage, or visitor profile. Aggregate visit counts are kept for up to 12 months.

Optional website analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load on the public homepage only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Google Analytics records basic page and named interaction events. Clarity records page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and page layout so we can find usability problems. We do not send your email address, subscription choice, or research answers to either service. The waitlist form is explicitly masked from Clarity, and neither service loads on confirmation, research, preferences, privacy, or support pages.

Your analytics choice is stored in this browser. Choose Analytics choices at any time to allow, decline, or withdraw optional analytics. Declining does not affect the waitlist or the website. Clarity playback data is normally retained for 30 days and aggregate click, heatmap, or saved-session data for up to 9 months. Google Analytics event-level data is configured for its shortest available retention period.

Cloudflare hosts the website and signup service. Its Turnstile spam check receives browser and network information when you interact with the form. Our self-hosted Listmonk manages email subscriptions on our existing Hetzner server, and Brevo delivers confirmation, welcome and update emails. These providers process data on our behalf and may process it in different countries.

Confirmation and preferences

Confirm your email before joining a new list. The confirmation applies only to the choices made with that request. Leaving the optional box unchecked does not remove a newsletter subscription you already have.

Email preferences and unsubscribe links let you stop the selected updates. We retain the minimum suppression record needed to avoid emailing someone who has unsubscribed or whose address has been blocked. We do not sell your email address.

Retention and requests

Unconfirmed requests expire. Active subscription and consent records stay while needed to provide the requested emails; delivery records are kept only as needed for reliability and abuse prevention. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing hello@modelroll.com. We may need to confirm that the request is yours.

This website

The marketing page does not collect your app’s code, prompts, documents or local AI content. We do not add advertising trackers to the signup form. Hosting providers process routine connection and security data to deliver and protect the website.

Support requests

The support form asks for your email address, a short description of the problem, and optional name, version, and platform information. Do not include passwords, API keys, private file paths, customer information, raw logs, or product content. The form does not accept attachments or automatically collect diagnostics.

Cloudflare processes the request and its Turnstile security check. The support service keeps an opaque reference, pseudonymized abuse-prevention records, timestamps, routing state, and the private Jira ticket reference for up to 90 days. Jira Service Management stores the customer email address and request text so we can manage and reply to the ticket. Hashing reduces exposure but does not make personal information anonymous.

If a submission cannot be confirmed, this browser stores only a non-personal request marker and opaque reference to prevent an accidental duplicate. It does not store the support message, email address, challenge token, or diagnostics. You can instead email hello@modelroll.com.
